Information on this bike:
Hello everyone,
Like all of you I just love my bike and ride it when ever i can, here in the Netherlands where I live.
This is my 2nd CB900F, when you get to the pictures, the first one is the silvercoloured one with the
fairing. Bought this one when it was 1 year old and changed the seat, the exhaust into 4 to 1 and bought
a fairing wich didn't fit at all. I cut it into pieces and made fit real tight and added the spoiler on
the bottom end. Took it up to 240 km/h with the fairing!! I sold the bike when i left my country to go
and work somewhere in the bush in Venezuela South America.
The black and red coloured one is the one i own now. It's also a 1979 CB 900F. I bought it when I got
back in 1984 and I am the 2nd owner. In fact it, was a present from my wife. It wasn't in a real good
shape. The original color was blue. Had a dented petroltank and was covered with a layer of clear laquer,
including the plastic and chromed parts. I think the 1st owner just hated cleaning it! I took the dent
out of the tank and painted the bike the way it is now, in 1986. Been riding it eversince. Had to renew
both parts of the alternator and the voltage regulator in 1996. I started modifying it about 2 months ago.
Best modifications sofar:
Tip: for all of you who have been lucky not having had to renew their alternators yet. Take them off and
have it treated in an oven at a company where they rewind electric motors, they have special ovens there
in which they treat rotors. This will refresh the insulation of your rotor and stator and will save you a
lot of money!! The problems with the alternators are caused by the heat of the engine. They heat up and
cool off everytime. This will result in craking of the insulation, which will result into short circuting
and aburned alternator. When this happens, your voltage regulator also will be damaged and have to be
replaced!!

Braced swinging arm
Ohlins shocks
progressive forksprings
Overall paintjob and powdercoat the frame
and who know's what
The twin piston calipers in the front, which really improves the braking.
Lifting it's rear-end. The 18 inch wheel in the front and the much stronger front fork, really improved
the handling in fast curves, with my knee on the ground!
